Welcome to The Algoma Sailing Club.

If "YES" to any of the above then the Algoma Sailing Club welcomes you to come, visit, and use our facilities.

Sailing Lessons? 2016 Boom Sailing School

Due to demand the Algoma Sailing Club will be hosting the Boom Mobile Sailing School from Sail Ontario. This mobile sailing school introduces the basic skills of sailing and boat handling. The Boom Sailing School includes; 8 Quba dingy sailing boats, safety equipment, life jackets and instructors (who also have their own boats). Participants can also qualify for earning their CanSail Sailing Certification levels 1 and or 2. Its a great way to get out on the water and to have some fun this summer.

Sailing for Youths:  The Youth Programme is a day camp on the water with the class size of 16 with the youth sailing dual handed (2 in a boat).  Additional adult supervision is on hand at the clubhouse from drop off time to pickup time.

- Ages: 8 to 14 years of Age
- Where: Algoma Sailing Club
- When: August 15-19, 2016
- Time: Days, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Fees:
$380 ($350 membership/early bird rate till May 1st)

Sailing for Adults: The Boom Adult Programme operates during the evening, from six p.m. until dusk. The classes are small with only eight students. That means one instructor for every four sailors and each person gets a boat to themselves. So don't delay do register early.

The Algoma Sailing Club's contact person for the Boom program is Norman and he can be emailed at or phoned at 705-450-2261, who will confirm your registrations. Since the sailing school must be pre-paid in advance hence your registration is only confirmed upon receipt of your payment, so do register early.

Rowers, Canoes & Kayaks.

Algoma Sailing Club welcomes Rowers, Canoes and Kayak owners to use our facilities as home base for your river excursions. become an associate member and you even have a key for use of the north washroom. On the Associate Member application do indicate that you are a rower.
