The St. Mary's River Races
Series, are a great way of mastering or
improving your sailing skills and a fun way of meeting other Sailors during the
race and later back at the Clubhouse. There are different courses used on the river that depending on
the wind condition. This provides for a challenging raceway with different
current flows, directions, and wind tunnels that can
make a race fast or slow. The winners name of each series is added to our
Trophies and the Results of each race is posted
online. (Note: There are many other special races and special events that are
held outside of the River Race Series.)
St. Mary's River Races Series (20 races):

Spring, 7 races held on Wednesday nights. (skipper
meetings 6:30, race starts 7:00).

Summer, 7 races held on Wednesday nights. (skipper
meetings 6:30, race starts 7:00).

Fall, 6 Races held on Saturdays. (skipper meetings
11:30, race starts 12:00).
Algoma Sailing Club Race Guidelines and Rules:

The race course will be decided before each race at the
skipper's meeting.

Additional crew (associate members) may be available at the skipper's meeting.

The Start Gun will be 7:00pm preceded by a 10 minute and a 5
minute warning.

All races start and end from the bouy can line in the river just
south the Clubhouse past Topsail Island

Complete Racing Rules are viewable in each A.S.C.'s Members Binder
(Under Section: Bi-Laws) and a copy for public viewing is available in the clubhouse.
